Richmond, Virginia - Kate Dunn announced today that Digital Innovations Group is initiating a Design and Marketing Internship for the summer of 2009. The qualified student must: - Be a rising or graduating senior from Benedictine High School.
- Have an interest in pursuing a career in marketing, design, advertising or sales.
- Possess a beginning understanding of computer design and layout and a 3.0 academic average.
- Have demonstrated an ability to work collaboratively toward achieving project deadlines.
This paid internship will include a $500 college scholarship. Applications will be accepted until March 1, 2009 and the winner will be announced on April 10, 2009. "Our intern will have the opportunity to work on client projects and experience the whole process from selling to implementation," noted Dunn. The internship, the brain child of Mrs. Julia Killian, who champions both the Newspaper and Yearbook programs at Benedictine added, "This is a great way for a student to evaluate their interest in design, copywriting or marketing, see it from the trenches and decide if they want to pursue a career in the field." "The name Benedictine is synonymous with Catholic values, academic excellence, leadership and service," related Headmaster, John McGinty. "Benedictine has a 97 year history of preparing young men to step into roles as religious, academic, civic, military and business leaders.
