Give Them Something to Talk About |

In his new book, The Thank You Economy, Gary Vaynerchuk, makes a case that we have entered an entirely new business era – one where the biggest returns won’t come to the companies that throw the most money at an advertising campaign, but to those that prove they care about their customers more than anyone else.
Success is about turning that old adage “A happy customer tells one person and an unhappy customer tells ten” on its head. Positively delight your customers and they can now tell thousands, maybe even millions.
Even better, businesses don’t have to pay for all that telling. They just have to take better care of their customers than anyone else, sit back and watch the telling happen via Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn or just plain old word of mouth. Oh, and one more thing, when the telling happens, organizations have to thank the people doing the telling so they keep right on telling. How do you know there is telling going on? You listen.
What are you giving your customers to talk about?
