Capitalizing on the Conversation: Capture the Conversation. Captivate Your Audience. Here is a little information that I thought I'd share that reinforces how necessary it is to get involved with various Social Media sites. The power to define and control a brand is shifting from corporations and institutions to individuals and communities. You Can't Afford to be Invisible!!! - 73% of active online users have read a blog - 45% have started their own blog - 39% have subscribed to an RSS feed - 57% have joined a social network
- 55% have uploaded photos - 83% have watched video clips Of all active Social Media site users... - 33% visit Social Media sites to engage in product research before making a purchasing decision - 47% say Social Media sites influence their decisions to purchase specific brands or services - 26% of respondents changed their minds about purchasing a product after reading about it on a Social Media site If you can't take the time to use Social Media, you are essentially saying you don't have time for your customers because your customers are on Social Media sites. Remember to engage personally with your fans and followers. Introduce yourself and get to know them before you pull your business into the conversation. Think of it as meeting them in person- you wouldn't immediately sell your business services without introducing yourself and knowing who they are first. A good way to gain new clients and network with others is to join groups within the Social Media sites. Join groups that would include potential customers. For example: If your company sells medical equipment, do not join a group that has other companies that sell medical equipment. Join a group for hospitals and doctor's offices who would need the medical equipment your company sells. Kristina Davis, Graphic Designer.
